Winter Skincare Tune Up

Winter Skincare Tune Up

This time of year can be the hardest on skin. Most skins favour a humid climate, so as the moisture begins to drop from the air, we begin to notice our skins becoming more dehydrated.
Now is a great time to re-assess your skincare regime and change things up for the winter months. You can get a free personalised skin prescription from one of our Facialist’s here. Otherwise here are some simple tips to help you support your skin through winter and keep the glow alive!

Soak your skin.

It’s the easiest and most effective way to get moisture back into the skin. In the morning soak your skin with water instead of cleansing, and in the evening soak after your double cleanse. It’s important that you layer your serums and moisturiser straight onto damp skin after soaking to lock in the moisture. Read more about skin soaking HERE.

Change your cleanser

Opt for something more nourishing. We love an oil or cream-based cleanser in the winter months. A couple of our favourites are the Emma Lewisham Illuminating Oil Cleanser, Josh Rosebrook Essential Balm Cleanse or MV Gentle Cream Cleanser.

Add a treatment oil

Perfect to boost skins glow and elasticity. Oil is a great way to lock in all your products and add extra lipids to your skin. A great treatment oil is the Josh Rosebrook Active Infusion Oil it contains Vitamin A & C and is a great one for anyone experiencing loss of firmness, dullness and lack-lustre skin. Maaemo Vitalise Face Elixir or Emma Lewisham Supernatural Face Oil are other great alternatives to finish off your regime and seal in extra nourishment.

Spritz away

If you are in air-conditioning all day, keep a hydrating mist at your desk for easy hydration to tired, dull skin. Spritz onto skin several times throughout the day to combat the drying effects of air conditioning, refresh makeup and restore skin's natural glow! Discover Mists HERE

Extra Nourishment

Twice a week sleep with a nourishing face mask instead of your usual moisturiser or night cream. Our favourites for this areJosh Rosebrook Advanced Hydration Mask or Tata Harper Hydrating Floral Mask.
